Haunted Hayride at Sunset Woods Park in Highland Park IL
It's that time of year, an annual favorite for all, the haunted hayride! Yes the haunted hayride will be in full swing on Friday October 22 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Join the fun - this amazing haunted hayride is hosted by the Park District of Highland Park. Just buy a ticket (tickets are $3.00 per person/per ride) and get in line to jump on the tram. The tram will be departing every fifteen minutes and will take you through the entire park. The lines may seem long but move rather quickly and the few minute wait is definitely worthwhile. You may want to also check out Steve Dahlke before or after the ride. He will be carving large pumpkins into art for everyone to watch. During your ride be prepared to be frightened by various characters who will literally jump out of the woods.
This is an event that we have always enjoyed - every year is a little different which makes it all that much more fun. It's an adventurous ride through the park where one hears laughs, screams and very rarely silence. Keep your eyes open and enjoy the ride!
If you are still looking for more Halloween adventures then drive over to Highwood where you can check out all the pumpkins throughout town and enjoy the Great Pumpkin Fest.
